A room spray does something that a candle and a diffuser cannot: it changes the atmosphere of a room in under a minute. It is immediate, direct, and deliberate. Used well, it is one of the most satisfying tools in home fragrance.
When to reach for a room spray
Before guests arrive. After cooking. In the morning, before you leave the house — so you come home to something that feels considered. In hotel rooms that smell of nothing in particular. On linen that has been in a drawer too long. Before a meeting you are hosting from home.
A room spray is also the right choice when you want fragrance without commitment — when you are not sure which scent you are in the mood for, and want to experiment.
How to use it
Hold the bottle 30 to 40 centimetres from the surface or into the air. One or two sprays are usually enough for a standard room. For linen and soft furnishings, spray from further away — 40 to 50 centimetres — and allow to dry before contact with skin. Avoid direct contact with polished wood, leather, or delicate fabrics.
In the air, not at the nose
Spray upward, into the air, and let the mist fall. This gives a more even distribution than spraying directly at a surface, and a more natural result — the fragrance arrives from everywhere at once, rather than from one point in the room.
Which fragrance, which moment
Thyme & Bergamot or Neroli & Moss for mornings — clean, alive, forward-moving. Amber & Lavender or Orange Blossom & Vetiver for evenings — grounding, warm, settling. Jasmine & Lily or Muguet & Sandalwood when you want the room to feel light and open regardless of the hour.
The Mist Edit contains all six in 20ml. It is the fastest way to find which fragrance belongs to which moment of your day.
